At Exmouth we handle over 2,700 telephone enquiries, receive over 1,950 visitors a year to our town centre Information office each week and deal with an average of 35 specific cases a month - all free of charge. And if we are unable to help we can usually signpost you to someone that can.

To provide this service we rely on funding from various sources.

The initial funding for opening the premises came from a legacy supported by local trusts grant funds.
Currently we rely on general funds to provide this much needed service. On going costs do not cease and we are pleased to receive support from local businesses via our Corporate Sponsorship scheme originally started by our former Chairman of Trustees Mr Graham Martin. The scheme continues.

We need your financial support to enable the service to continue year after year - we receive no government help with running costs - all our Information and Advice Advocates donate their time free of charge to keep the service operable - but we still need to fund rent and on-costs.

If you feel the service you received was satisfactory then please consider making a donation to help this facility continue.

In the past we have been part funded by LLoyds TSB Foundation

"Once We Were Young"
The work of a typical Age Concern

Click on the link below to view a moving yet engaging video entitled "Once We Were Young"

In a few moments the graphic content of this video will show you what your local Age Concern is all about. It provides an insight to the how Age concern carries out it's work.

The original video was commissioned by Tesco (Every little helps!) for Age Concern England (now defunct) when Age Concern was Tesco's Charity of the Year. Whilst the video itself is quite old the content is still relevant today. It depicts what many older people face in their day to day lives.
